Where to eat, stay and visit in New York

New York rewards a split day: Upper East Side museums such as Asia Society Museum at Park and 70th in the afternoon, then Korean and broader Asian tasting counters at night. The Banquet tables worth booking as soon as calendars open include Atomix, Jungsik New York, Semma, MŪJE and Oyatte. From 15 October 2026, One Bryant Park and Kumiko Room share 135 West 42nd Street and take separate reservations. Bemelmans Bar covers a classic hotel-bar nightcap; Amant is the Brooklyn museum morning when you want a different borough rhythm. Subways and short taxis cover most hops; leave buffer for counter seatings that run long. Confirm dietary constraints before deposits, and check museum free days (Asia Society Fridays) when planning a cultural morning.
