Asia Society Museum
Asia Society’s global headquarters and museum at 725 Park Avenue on the Upper East Side, founded by John D. Rockefeller 3rd in 1956 and housed since 1981 in an Edward Larrabee Barnes building of red Oklahoma granite. The Mr. and Mrs. John D. Rockefeller 3rd Collection of nearly 300 Asian works anchors the galleries; the 70th-anniversary exhibition Buddha and Shiva, Lotus and Dragon runs 18 March 2026 through 3 January 2027. Museum hours are typically Wednesday–Sunday 11:00–17:00; general admission about $15 with free Fridays.
