Andy Hei’s antiques-to-contemporary fair opens its first Shenzhen edition inside MoCAUP in Futian, after two decades built in Hong Kong halls.

The Banquet note
Andy Hei apprenticed in his father’s Chinese furniture trade, opened Andy Hei Ltd. on Hollywood Road in 1999, and launched the fair that became Fine Art Asia in 2006. For most of those twenty years the appointment was an October week at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre, mixing archaic bronzes, classical furniture, ink, jewellery and Western pictures. The 2026 mainland debut runs 26 to 29 November inside the Comprehensive Exhibition Hall at MoCAUP, 184 Fuzhong Road in Futian. Thursday is invite-only; Friday through Sunday are public. Hours and ticket prices will follow on fineartasia.com. The building itself splits a contemporary-art museum from a planning museum that tells Shenzhen’s reform-era growth; the fair occupies the combined hall, not Guangming’s newer SIMoA and not Pingshan’s Natural History Museum.
Cross at West Kowloon to Futian if you are coming from Hong Kong, then ride Metro line 3 or 4 to Children’s Palace and use Exit A2. The walk is two or three minutes. Keep WeChat Pay ready. If you want the new mega-museums as well, give them a different day: SIMoA is in Guangming and the Natural History Museum is in Pingshan, neither of which pairs cleanly with a Futian fair morning. Plan it well
Sleep in Futian or stay in Hong Kong and treat this as a single northbound day. Confirm public hours before you lock the crossing. Pair M+ on the Kowloon side the day before or after, not the same afternoon as MoCAUP.
