The complex holds fifteen international-standard exhibition halls plus theatre and education spaces. Opening seasons have included loan shows such as Realm of Masters, with European paintings through roughly late August 2026; confirm the current hang before you cross from Hong Kong for a single name. Typical hours run Tuesday to Sunday 10:00 to 18:00, closed Mondays, last entry an hour before close. Book tickets through the museum’s official WeChat channel and confirm which halls a pass includes, because a basic ticket can skip the loan rooms that justified the border queue. Guangming Station on Metro Line 6, Exit D, puts SIMoA and the Shenzhen Science and Technology Museum in the same district half-day. Do one deep museum rather than racing both, then return toward Futian for the high-speed rail to West Kowloon. Keep WeChat Pay ready for tickets and short taxis. Guangming is not Futian, and a same-afternoon dash to Pingshan is how the show you came for gets a tired last hour. Book timed slots on WeChat the night before.
