The Banquet note
Art Mumbai debuted in November 2023 at Mahalaxmi Racecourse with about 53 galleries, co-founded by Minal and Dinesh Vazirani of Saffronart with Conor Macklin of Grosvenor Gallery and Nakul Dev Chawla of Chawla Art Gallery. The second edition in 2024 listed 71 exhibitors; the third, 13 to 16 November 2025, published 82 galleries and more than 26,000 visitors. India Art Fair Contemporary, planned for the same November window at Jio World Garden in 2025, was cancelled; the Delhi India Art Fair remains the February appointment.
Use the racecourse as the spine, then keep Colaba and Fort galleries for a separate morning. Recent programmes have included a KNMA-supported speaker series and an outdoor sculpture park; see whether both return before you plan around them. Plan it well
Stay in South Mumbai, Colaba or Worli rather than treating BKC as a same-day hop. Mahalaxmi local station and taxis remain the practical approach; Metro Line 3 stations nearby are useful but do not yet deliver a finished pedestrian subway into the course.
