Art Basel Paris returns to the Grand Palais, 7 Avenue Winston Churchill, from 23 to 25 October 2026 for its fifth edition, the first under fair director Karim Crippa. Two hundred and eleven exhibitors from 41 countries and territories are announced across Galeries, Emergence and Premise: 183 in the main sector, 16 in Emergence, 12 in Premise. Thirty-two galleries are first-timers. Invitation previews fall on 21 and 22 October. A public vernissage on Thursday 22 October, 14:00 to 20:00, is the one preview anyone can buy, at €120. Public days run 11:00 to 19:00. Day tickets are €47, reduced €30, Friday evening 17:00 to 19:00 €40. Single-entry tickets do not allow re-entry, which breaks any plan built around a long lunch. The restored glass hall is the point and the problem: it is beautiful, loud and exhausting. Paris’s autumn week piles museum openings and gallery dinners onto the same Right Bank address, which is why the fair works best as one appointment inside a longer stay.

The Public Program this year stays close to the nave. Robert Indiana’s LOVE meets visitors off the metro. Avenue Winston Churchill is pedestrianised again. Miu Miu, the Public Program official partner, has commissioned filmmaker Alice Diop’s first exhibition, Geste de Consolation, at the Palais d’Iéna from 21 to 25 October, free, with guided-tour registration opening on 8 October at miumiu.com. Palais d’Iéna sits in the 16th, near Trocadéro, and does not need a Grand Palais badge. Design Miami Paris occupies L’hôtel de Maisons from 20 to 25 October on a separate Left Bank ticket. Keep a museum morning for another day. The eighth arrondissement will not reward a heroic loop. Oh La La!, the fair’s rehang, returns on 23 and 24 October under Philippine Leroy-Beaulieu. Watch it if you are already inside. Do not build the day around it.
