Bar Hemingway
Intimate cocktail bar inside the Ritz Paris on Place Vendôme, renamed for Ernest Hemingway’s long association with the hotel and still fitted with memorabilia in a room of roughly twenty-five seats. The Ritz currently lists service daily from 5:00 p.m. to midnight with no reservation required, so early arrival matters on busy nights; smart dress is enforced. Tapas service has its own shorter window on the hotel’s dining pages. Useful during Art Basel Paris week if you want a small hotel bar rather than a large cocktail theatre—budget time for a possible wait at the door.

While you're there
Place Vendôme puts you beside Place Vendôme jewelry windows and a short walk toward the Tuileries. For Asian fine dining the same week, Hakuba at Cheval Blanc on Quai du Louvre and L'Abysse at Pavillon Ledoyen are the Banquet Paris map. Arrive early; the room is small and does not take classic dinner reservations.
Pro Tip: Be at the Ritz door close to 5:00 p.m.; the Hemingway room holds roughly two dozen seats, does not run a normal reservation book, and by 7:00 the wait is the evening.
- Best for
- A small Place Vendôme hotel-bar ritual, not a large cocktail theatre.
- Pair with
- Dinner nearby at Hakuba another night.
- Season / timing
- Art Basel Paris week in late October and fashion weeks make early arrival essential.
