Da Nang sells resort density. Amanoi sells the decision to leave the strip behind.
The property opened in September 2013 as Aman’s first Vietnam address, set on a mountainous promontory inside Núi Chúa National Park, the core of a UNESCO biosphere reserve overlooking Vinh Hy Bay. The postal line is concrete: Vinh Hy Village, Vinh Hai Commune, Ninh Hai District, Ninh Thuan Province. The name braids Sanskrit aman (peace) with Vietnamese nơi (place): a peaceful place, which is both branding and the product. Jean-Michel Gathy of Denniston built the argument in pavilion grammar: tiled roofs, deep eaves, timber decks, and rooms that borrow Vietnamese village cues without becoming a theme park. The site does most of the talking.

What the Bay Is Doing
Amanoi sits above a marine reserve ringed by granite and sapphire water. Guest life splits between the clifftop Central Pavilion (restaurant, bar, library, boutique) and the Beach Club on a private stretch of sand below the cliffs, with loungers, lunch service, and a large pool when the East Sea wants company. A cliffside infinity pool lined in black volcanic rock keeps the high ground if you prefer looking down on the bay rather than walking into it.
Aman Spa sits inland beside a lotus lake, with treatment suites, hydrotherapy rooms, and a yoga pavilion for movement classes when scheduled. Confirm hours and immersions when you book.
Outside the gates, the park is the real neighbour: guided walks through dry forest and ravines, a fishing village within easy reach, and Cham heritage stops including a thirteenth-century tower complex when you want culture without flying north. What You Are Actually Booking
Inventory runs from Lake, Mountain, and Ocean Pavilions near ninety-five square metres with private timber decks, through Mountain and Ocean Pool Villas near one hundred twenty-five square metres, up to Amanoi Ocean Pool Villas near two hundred seventy square metres with larger infinity pools facing the bay. Wellness Pool Villas add a private hammam or Aman banya; residences step into one- to five-bedroom compounds with butler service. Ask by name if a multi-pavilion layout is the point, and soften exact key counts against the live booking grid.
Dining stays guest-facing. Breakfast, lunch, and dinner live in the Central Pavilion restaurant, with catch of the day and market produce folded into Vietnamese-leaning menus; the Beach Club covers daytime lunch. How a Diaspora Traveler Should Use It
Use Amanoi when the week’s question is coast recovery after Saigon density, or a quiet hinge before you fly onward. Amanoi is Vietnam’s park-and-bay Aman: Gathy’s pavilion line, Núi Chúa’s biosphere setting, guest-only beach and cliff pools, and a spa lake that makes three nights feel complete. The useful test is quieter. Does the transfer from Cam Ranh still feel like a fair trade on a humid Tuesday in July?
