Luxury houses usually hire ambassadors to sell a mood. Graff waited until 2026 to hire one at all.

Laurence Graff founded the London house in 1960 as a diamantaire business: stones first, retail later, vertical control from rough through cutting and polishing into boutique. For sixty-six years the public face was the diamond itself. On 2 July 2026, CEO François Graff named Jung Kook of BTS the house’s first global ambassador, and put him not in a unique high-jewelry necklace for a red carpet, but in Laurence Graff Signature, the unisex goldwear line that turns diamond facets into carved metal.

That choice is the story. The appointment is news. The product brief is the Style lesson.

“Jung Kook is a cultural icon, known for his multifaceted talents. His performances are bold yet refined, crafted with a brilliance that is impossible to ignore.”
François Graff, chief executive officer, Graff, announcing the partnership

Read past the press poetry. “Multifaceted” is also what the collection literally sells.

What the Campaign Is Actually Teaching

Norwegian photographer Sølve Sundsbø shot Jung Kook against Graff’s green-and-gold geometry: black tailoring, layered yellow gold, pavé accents, ear cuffs, and the tattoos left visible. The styling lesson is stacking. Chains at different weights. Bangles that can sit together. Rings that do not need a matching set. The house’s own product page prices the grammar in planning bands before tax: a faceted diamond band around $4,650, a diamond ring from about $4,500, a small chain pendant near $8,150, a pavé bangle from about $11,900, large chain bracelets and necklaces climbing toward $36,000 and $80,000. Confirm current figures at the boutique; treat published numbers as a map of entry versus statement, not a fixed tariff.

Design director Anne-Eva Geffroy has described the line as built for mixing metals, playing with proportions, and layering pavé. Each piece is carved from a single piece of white, yellow, or rose gold, echoing how light breaks across a cut stone. That is diamantaire thinking applied to daily jewelry, which is why the ambassador brief matters. Jung Kook is being asked to make Graff’s cutting intelligence look wearable, not to make Graff look like a concert merch partner.

The house had already tested the Asia path regionally. Sana of TWICE became Graff’s first Japan ambassador in July 2023 and later an Asia ambassador, often in Butterfly and Signature imagery. Jung Kook’s title widens that experiment from a regional appointment to one global face. This is the first global ambassadorship in the house’s history, not its first Asian relationship.

How a Diaspora Buyer Should Use the Appointment

Do not buy because an idol wore it. Use the campaign as a fittings brief.

Start with one facet language. A Signature bangle or band teaches the cut-plane silhouette before you escalate to a large chain. If the geometry feels wrong on your wrist under daylight, stop; no amount of campaign heat will fix proportion.

Stack on purpose. Mix yellow and white only if both metals already live in your wardrobe. Layer a slim pavé piece against a polished gold weight the way What Quiet Carry Actually Looks Like treats patina and proportion: the stack should survive an airport security tray, not only a studio backdrop.

Keep high jewelry and goldwear in separate mental folders. Graff’s authority still rests on exceptional stones and vertical control through cutting and polishing into London workshops and private boutiques. Signature is the conversational entry. A unique diamond commission remains a different appointment, closer to the education in The Gem Palace and the Education of Stones and the Place Vendôme color history in Paris Learned Color from India.

Book the room, not the screenshot. In Hong Kong, start at the Central flagship in St George’s Building, 2 Ice House Street, or the Peninsula boutique on Salisbury Road. Singapore’s ION Orchard and Marina Bay Sands counters, Tokyo Ginza, and Seoul department-store boutiques work the same way: appointment, daylight, and a quiet comparison of weights. Ask to see Signature beside a classic diamond piece so the sales table clarifies which register you are actually shopping.

Jung Kook’s wider portfolio from late 2025 into 2026 (Chanel Beauty, Hublot, Calvin Klein) explains why houses trust him with category range. For Banquet readers, the useful detail is narrower. Graff gave him goldwear that can repeat in a boutique without requiring a red carpet. That is how a diamantaire house modernizes without diluting the stone story.

The Verdict

Graff’s first global ambassador is less a celebrity scoop than a product translation. The house that built its name on diamonds finally named a face, then asked him to wear diamond grammar rendered as stackable gold.

If you already collect high jewelry, treat Signature as the daily register that keeps Graff on the body between rare commissions. If you are entering the house for the first time, begin with one faceted piece under real light, confirm the price band in store, and leave the large chain until the silhouette has earned its place.

The campaign will move on. The cut planes will not.
