Why it is here
Venice remains one of the clearest places to see how Asian artists and national cultural institutions enter a global canon. The long exhibition rewards comparison across pavilions, diasporic practices and the curatorial frame rather than a rushed opening-week circuit.
Plan it well
Give Giardini and Arsenale separate days. Stay in Castello for easier morning access, check Monday closures carefully and resist combining both principal venues with distant collateral exhibitions in one itinerary.
