Biennale Arte (Giardini and Arsenale)

The 61st International Art Exhibition, In Minor Keys, runs 9 May through 22 November 2026 across the Giardini and Arsenale venues in Castello. One-access tickets (about €30 full price) cover one entry to each venue, including on different non-consecutive days; multi-day options are published on labiennale.org. Summer hours typically run 11:00 to 19:00 through 27 September; autumn hours tighten to 10:00 to 18:00 from 29 September. Closed Mondays except listed exceptions. Giardini entrances include Viale Trento 1260; Arsenale opens from Campo della Tana. For Ambassadors readers, the Korea and Japan pavilions in the Giardini are the primary morning stop.

While you're there

Give Giardini and Arsenale separate half-days rather than one exhausted loop. After Korea and Japan in the Giardini, walk or vaporetto toward Campo della Tana for the Arsenale gate and free collateral shows nearby.

Pro Tip: Buy the one-access ticket online and start at Giardini on a cool morning; security queues at both gates are real in July and August, and Mondays punish improvisation.

Best for
A timed Biennale Arte visit centred on Giardini national pavilions.

Fermata: Hong Kong in Venice on Campo della Tana without a second ticket.
