The Banquet note
ART TAIPEI is organised by the Taiwan Art Gallery Association and returns to Taipei World Trade Center Exhibition Hall 1, No. 5, Sec. 5, Xinyi Road, from 30 October to 2 November. It is the thirty-third edition of a fair that has outlasted flashier arrivals, including the cancelled 2026 Taipei Dangdai hiatus. Preview windows open on Thursday 29 October for SVIP from noon and VIP from 15:00, then again Friday morning before the public is let in at 14:00. Saturday and Sunday run 11:00 to 19:00; Monday closes at 18:00. The 2026 ticket page lists 128 galleries plus MIT newcomer and Indigenous art sections.
Take the Xinyi Line to Taipei 101 / World Trade Center and use Exit 1 or 5; the walk is about two minutes. City Hall Station on the Bannan Line is a longer fifteen-minute walk and a poorer choice in rain. Stay in Xinyi if the fair is why you flew. Keep the National Palace Museum for a separate morning in Shilin: the two buildings do not share a mood, and stacking them makes both feel like errands. Digital VIP registration lives at taga.tw. If you only have a public ticket, Friday afternoon is short; Saturday is the calmer look.
Plan it well
Book a Xinyi hotel if Hall 1 is the point of the trip. Buy the public day you can actually use: Friday is only five hours. Recheck 2026.art-taipei.com if your invitation code has not arrived by mid-October.
