Dongdaemun Design Plaza
Zaha Hadid-designed cultural complex at 281 Eulji-ro in Jung-gu, managed with the Seoul Design Foundation as the city's design landmark. Design Miami staged its first Asia In Situ exhibition here in September 2025 and returns for an expanded Seoul fair at DDP Design Lab in early September 2026 beside Frieze Seoul. Exhibition halls, Design Lab programming, and ticket products change with each show; confirm hours and admission on ddp.or.kr before you go. Dongdaemun history and night markets sit beside the plaza, so plan footwear for both aluminium ramps and market streets.

While you're there
Eulji-ro puts you on the Dongdaemun belt. Pair a Design Lab morning with Frieze week only if you leave half a day for each; overnight nearer Jung or Jongno rather than Gangnam if DDP is the spine.
Pro Tip: Check which DDP hall holds the Design Miami programme before you enter; the complex is large enough to burn forty minutes walking the wrong aluminium curve.
