While you're there
Takagamine puts Kinkaku-ji a short early car or determined walk away, with Kōetsu-ji and Genkō-an as quieter district temples when you want the arts-colony story without another Golden Pavilion queue. Keep Park Hyatt Kyoto for a separate Higashiyama block if dawn Kodai-ji walks still matter; do not try to cover both geographies every day.
