The Banquet note
West Bund Art & Design returns to Shanghai’s Xuhui riverfront from 10 to 15 November 2026 for its thirteenth edition, now spread across four sites: the West Bund International Convention and Exhibition Center on Longyao Road, West Bund Art Center on Longteng Avenue, GATE M Dream Center, and ORBIT. Fair organisers have announced more than 150 exhibitors from around 45 cities and regions, mixing returning international houses with Chinese and Asian galleries and a design section themed In Relation (to). Since 2014 the fair has anchored Shanghai’s autumn art week beside the Huangpu museum strip, so the useful plan treats booths and nearby institutions as one corridor rather than a sealed hall.
VIP days fall on 10 and 11 November; public entry runs 12 to 15 November, typically noon to 18:00. Stay in Xuhui or the former French Concession and walk the riverfront rather than taxi-hopping every address. Pair the week with ART021 at the Shanghai Exhibition Center in Jing’an; the two fairs overlap and need separate tickets. Shanghai International Artwork Trade Week folds West Bund, ART021 and other platforms into the same mid-November window, which rewards one fair day and one museum day more than a heroic double. Plan it well
Book Xuhui lodging early for mid-November. Do VIP or one public fair day, then keep Power Station of Art or another West Bund museum for a separate morning. Confirm ART021 tickets separately if you are stacking Jing’an the same week.
