The Banquet note

Singapore Art Week’s fifteenth edition runs from 21 to 31 January 2027, organised with the National Arts Council and partners as a citywide season rather than a single ticket. The 2027 open call asked projects to be publicly accessible across those dates, which is the planning clue: museums, independent rooms and temporary installations open in parallel with ART SG at Marina Bay Sands. National Gallery Singapore in the Civic District remains the institutional spine. Gillman Barracks, Bras Basah campus galleries and whatever the year invents along the river need their own travel time.

Pick two or three clusters and ignore the rest. Civic District and Bras Basah for museums and a walkable lunch. Marina Bay for the fair, if you are going. Gillman only if you want the older gallery park and will give it a half-day. Ten days of programming does not require ten days of attendance; three or four well-slept days beat a heroic itinerary. Project lists and timed tickets appear on artweek.sg closer to January. Leave one evening empty on purpose. That is usually when someone texts a better opening.

Plan it well

Stay in the Civic District if museums lead, Marina Bay if ART SG does. Book National Gallery before you land. Check artweek.sg the week you fly; satellite projects publish late.

Fifteenth edition dates confirmed by Singapore Art Week as 21–31 January 2027. Individual project hours vary by venue.
