The Banquet note
Pierre Moos built Parcours des Mondes as a hors-les-murs week in the galleries that already live in Saint-Germain. The 2026 edition, 8 to 13 September, marks twenty-five years. Official hours run late on the opening Tuesday, then 11:00 to 19:00 through Saturday and until 18:00 on Sunday. The trail follows the small streets of the Beaux-Arts quarter: Mazarine, Guénégaud, Jacques-Callot, de Seine, de l’Echaudé, Jacob, Visconti and des Beaux-Arts. Asian material joined the mix in 2015, beside the African, Oceanic and American holdings the week was founded on, with archaeology added later. About fifty galleries take part in a typical edition; the 2026 list lands closer to September.
Print the official map and give yourself two mornings. The first is for orientation and the second for the two or three rooms that actually held you. Métro Saint-Germain-des-Prés on line 4 is the cleanest drop. Pair the week with lunch on the Left Bank rather than a Grand Palais dash; Art Basel Paris is still six weeks away. If you already walk Madison in March, this is the September date that serves the same collector, only on foot and without a preview wristband.
Plan it well
Stay in the 6th or 7th. Gallery doors are free; the scarce resource is patience and a second visit to the same street. Recheck parcours-des-mondes.com for the 2026 exhibitor list before you build a must-see sequence.
