Frieze Abu Dhabi
Abu Dhabi Art becomes Frieze Abu Dhabi in the same Manarat halls, which is the November reason to put Saadiyat on a collecting itinerary.

The Banquet note
Abu Dhabi Art opened at Emirates Palace in 2009 with 42 galleries, moved to Manarat Al Saadiyat in 2011, and closed its seventeenth edition in 2025 at 142 exhibitors. Frieze and the Department of Culture and Tourism – Abu Dhabi take the same November slot in 2026, with Deutsche Bank as global lead partner. Dyala Nusseibeh, who directed Abu Dhabi Art, remains director. Frieze dates the week 19 to 22 November; the visitor FAQ is more specific about public hours, 20 to 22 November from 14:00 to 21:00. Gallery lists and ticket prices will follow. The floor plan will tell you more than the name change.
Sleep on Saadiyat or downtown Abu Dhabi and give the island a taxi, not a Dubai day trip. Manarat sits in the Cultural District next to Louvre Abu Dhabi, closed Mondays, with galleries usually open 10:00 to 18:30 on weekdays and later on Friday to Sunday. Zayed National Museum opened on 3 December 2025 and is the other walkable hall. Guggenheim Abu Dhabi is dated 11 December 2026, after the fair, so do not build it into this weekend. Dubai Design Week occupies d3 from 3 to 8 November; that is a different emirate and a different week. If you only have one Gulf November, choose the island or the design district on purpose.
Plan it well
Book Saadiyat or Corniche lodging once tickets appear on friezeabudhabi.com. Do the fair after lunch if the 14:00 opening holds, and keep a Louvre morning on a Tuesday through Sunday. Recheck which day is preview.
