The Banquet note
Art Basel Hong Kong returns to the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre in Wan Chai from 25 to 27 March 2027, following a 2026 edition that ran public days 27–29 March with previews on 25 and 26 March. The fair remains the densest Asia-Pacific meeting of international and regional galleries, museum groups and diaspora collectors in a single harbour-side hall. What happens outside the booths is as useful as what hangs inside: M+ on the West Kowloon waterfront, Tai Kwun programmes, Central gallery nights and the wider Art March calendar turn three public days into a full week of institutional and private appointments.
Plan the city as three blocks rather than one continuous walk. Wan Chai serves the fair floor; Central and Admiralty hold evening dinners and dealer programmes; West Kowloon needs its own half-day for museum commissions and waterfront pacing. Preview access is released separately from public tickets, so confirm both on artbasel.com before locking hotel nights. Hotel rates jump as soon as flights fill.
Plan it well
Book as soon as you know you are coming; March rates move early. Wan Chai for the fair, Central or Admiralty for dinners, and a half-day that belongs only to West Kowloon.
