Para Site
Hong Kong’s longest-standing artist-founded contemporary art centre, established in 1996 and now on the 22nd floor of Wing Wah Industrial Building, 677 King’s Road, Quarry Bay. Typical hours run Wednesday–Sunday 12:00–19:00; confirm holiday closures on para-site.art. Alan Lo became board chair in February 2025 after Alan Lau’s long chairmanship; the programme emphasises first institutional exhibitions for emerging and mid-career practices from Asia and beyond. Take MTR Quarry Bay Exit C and allow lift time in the industrial block.

While you're there
Quarry Bay is an Eastern District stop, not a Central stroll. After Para Site, keep M+ for a separate West Kowloon day rather than forcing both into one afternoon across the harbour. Confirm Wednesday openings if your trip is short.
Pro Tip: Enter Wing Wah Industrial Building for the 22/F galleries and ignore the street-level funeral-home adjacency that confuses first-time taxis; tell the driver King’s Road and the building name, then take the lift.
- Best for
- A Quarry Bay non-profit contemporary art afternoon.
- Pair with
- M+ on another half-day in West Kowloon.
- Season / timing
- Art Basel Hong Kong week fills the city; weekday Quarry Bay visits stay quieter.
