Where to eat, stay and visit in Bangkok
Bangkok rewards travelers who stay near the BTS Skytrain or MRT and treat traffic as a planning constraint rather than a surprise. The Banquet map clusters riverside hotel nights at Capella Bangkok, Mandarin Oriental Bangkok and The Siam; museum mornings at Dib Bangkok and Jim Thompson House; and dinner reservations at Anne-Sophie Pic at Le Normandie or Sorn when the week needs a table worth locking early. Sukhumvit suits first visits for hotels, dining and short rail hops; Silom and Sathorn sit between business towers and Lumphini Park; the Chao Phraya ferries and hotel boats fill gaps the rail network does not cover. Book peak season (roughly November–February) early, leave buffer for Rama IV and river crossings, and use Central Embassy or Cartier at Siam Paragon only when shopping is already on that side of town.
