The Banquet note
Patrick Perrin, the fourth-generation Paris antique dealer behind PAD Paris, founded the London fair in 2007. The 2026 edition opens with a Collectors Preview on 13 October, followed by the VIP Opening and four public days inside a tent on Berkeley Square. Its setting places design dealers within walking distance of Mayfair hotels and galleries while Frieze London and Frieze Masters occupy Regent’s Park the same week. The useful distinction is category, not calendar: PAD deals in historical and contemporary design; Frieze deals in living artists and Masters in historical art.
Ticket choice matters more than it first appears. The £100 Preview pass allows unlimited access from Tuesday through Sunday, useful if a chair, screen or cabinet needs a second viewing with dimensions in hand. The £30 public ticket permits one entry only. Do PAD in a morning or a preview evening, then keep the park for another day. A late-afternoon taxi loop between Berkeley Square and Regent’s Park is an excellent way to see neither properly. The official 2026 exhibitor list had not yet posted as of mid-August; wait for the floor plan before building a must-see sequence.
Plan it well
Buy the Preview pass if you are sourcing for a live project or expect to return with an adviser. Otherwise one public entry is enough. Base in Mayfair or Marylebone; Sunday closes at 18:00.
