The Banquet note
Design Miami was founded in 2005 by Craig Robins as a collectible-design counterpart to Miami Art Week, and the Miami Beach edition remains the brand's hometown flagship. The 22nd edition returns to Pride Park from 1 to 6 December 2026, adjacent to the Miami Beach Convention Center where Art Basel Miami Beach holds its Americas edition. Curatorial Director Charlene Prempeh frames the 2026 edition under the theme Unveiling, with gallery presentations, Curio projects, talks and brand collaborations spanning twentieth- and twenty-first-century furniture, lighting and objets.
Treat Design Miami and Art Basel as neighbouring but separate tickets and geographies. Build one Pride Park day and one Convention Center day rather than hopping between them at peak hours; traffic and security lines punish casual movement. The Design District and mainland programmes remain optional evening layers once the beach block is done. Confirm ticket categories and hours on designmiami.com as December approaches.

Buy Design Miami and Art Basel tickets separately. Sleep on Miami Beach if the Convention Center and Pride Park are your spine; keep Design District evenings optional rather than mandatory.
