Tianjin Binhai Library

Public library inside the Binhai Cultural Center, completed in 2017 by MVRDV with the Tianjin Urban Planning and Design Institute. The 33,700-square-metre building is known for the spherical auditorium and cascading bookshelf atrium nicknamed the Eye of Binhai; upper decorative panels have always required careful reporting, so treat the atrium as architecture first. Admission is free. Current official hours are commonly 2:00–8:00 p.m. Monday and 9:30 a.m.–8:00 p.m. Tuesday–Sunday, with only lower floors open after 6:00 p.m.; security screening applies and dedicated cameras are restricted. Confirm before travel from central Tianjin or Binhai Station.
