Rajmahal Palace RAAS
Rajmahal Palace RAAS is the small royal house on Sardar Patel Marg in C Scheme, thirteen keys in a palace the hotel dates to 1729 and describes as a home of Sawai Jai Singh and, for many years, Maharani Gayatri Devi. RAAS has run it since 1 April 2021. The suites mix family pieces with a loud Art Deco hand, and some are named for former guests, including Queen Elizabeth II. The Michelin hotel guide gives the property one key. That is a stay distinction, not a star on a restaurant. Dinner in the building is 51 Shades of Pink for a formal Jaipur menu, or the Colonnade if you would rather not dress for a palace twice. There is a pool in the garden and a polo bar. Thirteen keys is the whole point and the whole problem: the house disappears faster than Rambagh, especially from October to March, when Jaipur weddings take every palace that still looks like one. Book on raashotels.com or by phone at +91 141 414 3000. You are nearer the pink streets here than you are on Goner Road, and you are still not inside the old-city lanes. Use the hotel car for Amer at opening. MI Road is the easier errand. If you wanted lawns, peacocks, and a large dining room with a closed-shoe rule, Rambagh is the other Jaipur palace, and it is a different week.

While you're there
C Scheme puts MI Road and the Gem Palace within a short car ride, and the old city a little farther. Amer is still a morning with a driver. Rambagh Palace is the larger lawn if this house is full.
Pro Tip: Book the room before you book the fort. Thirteen keys in wedding season will not be waiting when you finish choosing a courtyard category.
- Best for
- A thirteen-key palace stay nearer the pink streets than Goner Road.
- Pair with
- A stones morning at The Gem Palace.
- Season / timing
- October to March is when thirteen keys go to weddings first.
