Offene Kirche Elisabethen
Neo-Gothic city church at Elisabethenstrasse 10-14, opposite Kunsthalle Basel at Bankverein, used as a cultural venue since the 1990s. Design Miami/Basel debuted here in 2006; after the fair left Messeplatz, MAZE Design Basel returned to the nave in 2025 and 2026 for collectible design during Art Basel week. Outside fair days the church typically opens Monday-Saturday 10:00-19:00 and Sunday 12:00-19:00; confirm event ticketing when a salon occupies the space. Reach by tram lines stopping at Bankverein.
