The Oberoi Rajvilas
The Oberoi Rajvilas is the garden hotel on Goner Road, at Babaji Ka Modh, and it is the Jaipur stay for people who want to recover between Amer and the bazaar rather than sleep inside the grid. The hotel describes thirty-two acres, about eight kilometres and fifteen minutes from the centre when the road is kind. A Hotel Association of India sheet for 2026 counts 71 keys, from premier rooms to luxury tents, private-pool rooms, and the Kohinoor villa, and puts the airport drive at about forty-five minutes. The same sheet starts a premier room at 100,000 rupees before tax. That figure moves. Confirm what the Oberoi desk is actually offering before you treat the directory as a rate. Surya Mahal is the all-day restaurant, 7:00 to 10:30, with Indian and international cooking indoors and in the courtyard. Raj Mahal is the Indian dinner, 7:00 to 10:00, and the hotel says outside guests may book it. If the morning is Amer at opening, leave earlier than you would from Bhawani Singh Road. The fort is not next door. The garden, the pool, and a tent with a private plot are the reason to accept the distance. Book on oberoihotels.com. October to March is when both this resort and the palace hotels in town fill with weddings. A summer stay is quieter, and it is also when you will not want to be on the ridge at noon.

While you're there
Goner Road is a base, not a walk to Hawa Mahal. Have the hotel car take Amer at opening and the old city after lunch. Rambagh Palace is the in-town alternative if the drive starts to annoy you.
Pro Tip: Add twenty minutes to the Amer departure if you are sleeping here. The hotel's fifteen minutes to the centre is not the same clock as the ridge at opening time.
- Best for
- A garden and tent stay when the old city can wait until afternoon.
- Pair with
- Dinner at Raj Mahal on a night you are already on the property.
- Season / timing
- October to March books out for weddings. Summer is quieter and too hot for a late fort.
