Bar Palladio

Bar Palladio is the Italian restaurant in the grounds of Hotel Narain Niwas Palace, at Kanota Bagh on Narayan Singh Road, and it is the Jaipur night that is not a palace thali. The room is a courtyard and a lounge inside a smaller heritage hotel, useful when Suvarna Mahal's closed-shoe dinner is the wrong mood or when you have already eaten Rajasthani food twice. The Narain Niwas page lists Monday to Saturday from 4:30 to 11:30, and Sunday from 12:30 to 11:30. Bar Palladio's own location page asks for a reservation in the high season at info@bar-palladio.com and prints a slightly earlier weekday opening, Monday to Saturday from 4:00. Trust the email confirmation over either clock. The restaurant also lists a second Jaipur address at Abhay Niwas in Jamdoli. If your driver is sent to the wrong palace, you will spend the evening on the phone. Name Kanota Bagh and Narayan Singh Road when you book. Come for a plate and the courtyard, then leave the gem appointments for the next morning, when the stone can be seen in daylight. Wedding weeks from October to March fill both this courtyard and the big palace hotels. A Tuesday in summer is the easy table. Confirm the Kanota Bagh service before you leave the hotel, and do not assume a walk-in at 8:00 on a December Saturday.
