Osaka is the Kansai city for Shinsaibashi shopping, a Dotonbori night, and a short train to Kyoto when the day needs temples. Stay near Shinsaibashi or Honmachi if the plan is House of Dior and a late walk. Namba is louder. Check the last train if Kyoto is the same evening.
