Nara
Nara is the temple city on the Kintetsu from Kyoto, about 35 minutes on the limited express once you are at Kyoto Station. Nara Park, Kofuku-ji, Todai-ji and the Nara National Museum sit in one walk from Kintetsu-Nara Station. For the Shosoin exhibition, sleep in Nara if the ticket is 8:00, because that morning limited express arrives at 8:25.
