Khajuraho
Khajuraho is a small Madhya Pradesh town built around the Chandela-era temple groups inscribed by UNESCO, with the ticketed Western Group (including Kandariya Mahadeva) as the main visit and quieter Eastern and Southern clusters nearby. Plan for outdoor walking from sunrise toward sunset; October–March is the comfortable season, and many visitors pair the temples with the evening sound-and-light show. Flights into Khajuraho Airport keep the stop self-contained, usually as one or two nights rather than a long base.
